Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
This policy explains how personal data of visitors to www.thomascasadei.com is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018. The processing activities described below are few and narrow in scope, and they are all the processing this website actually performs.
Data controller and contact details
The data controller is Thomas Casadei, Italian VAT number IT04151640408, operating address c/o LABO LABO, Galleria OIR 16, 47521 Cesena (FC), Italy.
For any matter concerning personal data protection and to exercise your rights you can write to tcasadei [chiocciola] me.com. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as the conditions set out in Article 37 GDPR do not apply.
Data processed and purposes
1. Web server logs
Like any website, the server automatically records some technical information with every request: your IP address, your browser and operating system type, the pages requested, and the date and time of the request. This data is used to keep the site running, to diagnose faults, to protect its security and to detect possible abuse. It is not used to identify you or to build profiles.
Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in the security, availability and correct operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
2. Traffic statistics with Google Analytics 4
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-DTX1W9FEMT) to understand, in aggregate form, how many people visit the site and which pages they read. The Analytics script is loaded only after you have given your consent through the cookie banner: if you do not consent, it is never executed and the related cookies are not installed. IP anonymisation is enabled. The data collected is statistical and is not used for advertising profiling, remarketing or marketing of any kind.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
3. Google Maps
The “Get in touch” page includes a map provided by Google Maps. The map is also loaded only after your consent. If you consent, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which necessarily receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. If you do not consent, the map is not loaded and no data is sent to Google: the address remains readable in plain text on the page.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Cookie consent management
To collect, record and remember the choice you make in the banner, the site uses an open source component (vanilla-cookieconsent, MIT licence) hosted and served directly by the www.thomascasadei.com domain. This is a technical tool, necessary to ensure that your preference is respected and that the controller can demonstrate it was properly obtained; for this reason it does not itself require your consent. No external provider is involved: the request for the file never leaves this domain, and no third party learns your IP address.
Legal basis: compliance with cookie-related obligations and with the duty to demonstrate consent (Articles 6(1)(c) and 7(1) GDPR), together with the legitimate interest in the proper functioning of the website.
5. Emails you send on your own initiative
The site has no contact form: the only channel is a mailto link that opens your email client. If you decide to write to me, I will process the sender’s email address and any data you choose to include in your message, solely in order to read your request and reply to it. Please avoid including unnecessary data, in particular special categories of data (Article 9 GDPR) such as information about health or personal beliefs.
Legal basis: responding to your request and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
What this website does not do
For the sake of clarity: this website does not carry out profiling, does not use advertising or remarketing cookies, does not send commercial communications or newsletters, does not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own purposes, and does not use automated decision-making producing legal effects concerning you (Article 22 GDPR).
Recipients and external processors
Your data is not disseminated. It may be processed, strictly as far as necessary, by: the hosting provider that hosts the website and its logs, appointed as data processor under Article 28 GDPR; Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for Google Analytics 4 and Google Maps; the email service provider used to receive the messages you send me. Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.
Transfers outside the European Union
Google Analytics 4 and Google Maps may involve the transfer of personal data to the United States. Such transfers take place in compliance with Chapter V of the GDPR: Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, covered by the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023, and the contractual relationship is governed by the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission pursuant to Article 46(2)(c) GDPR.
If you do not consent to Analytics and Maps, no transfer outside the EU takes place. The typefaces and other graphic assets used on the site are served directly from the www.thomascasadei.com domain and involve no connection to external servers.
Retention periods
- Web server logs: a limited period, as a rule no longer than 12 months, unless longer retention is required to investigate security incidents.
- Google Analytics 4: no longer than 14 months for user- and event-level data; aggregate reports remain available in anonymous form.
- Cookie preference: 6 months, after which the banner is shown again.
- Emails received: as long as necessary to reply and to handle any subsequent correspondence.
Your rights
At any time and free of charge you may exercise the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3)) without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77) with the Italian Data Protection Authority — Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, garanteprivacy.it.
To exercise these rights simply send a request, in any form, to tcasadei [chiocciola] me.com. You will receive a reply without undue delay and in any case within one month. Since the site requires no registration, in most cases the data collected does not allow you to be identified: in such circumstances, as provided by Article 11 GDPR, I may be unable to act on your request without additional information that you choose to provide voluntarily.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, to the tools used or to applicable law. The version published on this page is always the one in force and shows the date of the latest update.
Trademarks, materials and copyright
Trademarks and distinctive signs mentioned
The trademarks, logos, company names, product names and any other distinctive signs reproduced or mentioned on this website belong to their respective owners and are protected under applicable law. No right over such signs is claimed by Thomas Casadei.
They are mentioned on a purely descriptive and identifying basis, in order to indicate the company, organisation or project in connection with which the professional work was carried out, within the limits of fair use in accordance with honest practices as set out in Article 21 of the Italian Industrial Property Code (Legislative Decree No. 30 of 10 February 2005) and Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001.
No affiliation, sponsorship or current relationship
The presence of a trademark or a name on these pages documents an assignment or a collaboration relating to the period indicated in each case. It does not imply, nor is it intended to suggest, any current relationship of affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, endorsement, agency or approval on the part of the owners of the signs mentioned.
Several of the works described were carried out within studios, agencies or working groups of which the author was a member, or in collaboration with other professionals, and are presented as such. Some trademarks also appear on products, materials or premises produced by the clients for third parties: their presence documents the context of the work and does not indicate any direct relationship between the author and the trademark owner. The owners of the signs mentioned have no role in, and no responsibility for, the contents of this website.
Purpose: documenting professional activity
This website is Thomas Casadei’s personal portfolio and its sole purpose is to document, in concise and chronological form, the professional activity carried out from 1995 to the present day. The project descriptions are narrative and reconstructive in nature; they do not constitute commercial communication on behalf of the parties mentioned, nor an offer of products or services in their name.
Materials shown and rights of use
The images of projects, packaging, websites, applications, trademarks and graphic materials published on these pages reproduce work created by the author, either alone or as part of working groups, in the course of professional assignments.
Unless otherwise agreed, the economic exploitation rights in such materials belong to the clients, who remain their owners: their reproduction here serves to document the creative and professional contribution made, in accordance with the moral rights granted by Italian Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941. Some images reproduce products, premises or publications belonging to third parties, captured in the context of the work documented: here too, the relevant rights remain with their respective owners.
Images of people and third-party content
Images portraying people originate from campaigns and materials produced on behalf of the clients and are published in order to document the work carried out. Portrait rights remain with the individuals concerned and with the owners of the related exploitation rights, pursuant to Article 10 of the Italian Civil Code and Articles 96 and 97 of Law No. 633/1941. The individuals portrayed, or those acting on their behalf, may request the removal of their image at any time: such a request will be carried out without any need to give reasons.
Photographs and content created by third parties, where reproduced, are used with the authors’ consent or under licence. Links to external websites are provided for reference only: the author exercises no control over the linked content and accepts no responsibility for it.
Reports and removal requests
Respect for the rights of others takes priority over any interest in presenting the work carried out.
Owners of trademarks, copyright or portrait rights who believe that any content on this website has been published improperly, or who simply do not wish to appear on it, may write to tcasadei [chiocciola] me.com, indicating the page and the content concerned. The request will be handled promptly by removing or amending the content, without any further formality or justification being required and without this constituting any admission of liability.
Original content and copyright
The texts, structure, code, photographs and original graphic elements of this website — excluding the third-party trademarks and materials referred to above — are © Thomas Casadei, VAT IT04151640408. Quotation is permitted provided the source is stated; any other reproduction, in whole or in part, requires written authorisation.
